Yeah, excellent - I'm quite excited about this, I have another Single 8 camera on the way (picked up for 99p) and have managed to get the P1 refurbished this morning with a bit of cajoling with some jewellers screwdrivers. Having now seen a Single 8 camera (and film cart - as there was one in the camera) the whole thing reminds me of VHS and Betamax (Super 8 being VHS), in that two similar technologies, but the technically superior one lost out. The Single 8 cart is a fantastic piece of moulding and so simple to load and unload and having now seen the pressure plate in the Single 8 cam. I can now understand what the fuss was about. Only shoot will tell though - even though results will be dubious with the P1's tiny lens!

I have two rolls of R25 (one shot with, the other in waiting) from Kent in Los Angeles. (Hey Kent, where's my zoom attachment???). Anyway, I will one day add a GLOWING review of the single 8 cart and camera (Z2) since this format is where the 8mm wide filmaking should have gone. Kodak would be offering far more formats in the simple single 8 cart than all the fuss over K40 vs e64. Single 8 rules!

Cardridge compartment on left side with integrated pressure plate -like DS8 or 16mm cameras Fujichrome RT25N and RT200N are daylight balanced reversal films - NO daylightfilter is required. During daylight the 25 ASA film is comparable to Kodaks old Moviechrome 40 but has finer grain! Accellion Secure File Transfer. Also the 200 ASA daylight reversal film had fine grain and was good for a lot of tasks in lowlight or sports, never possible with Super8.
