It is considered a Transitional K-22 and it's serial is a low Four digit sequence.The Smaller style Magna stock's shown in the last Two Picture's are serial numbered to it being original when it left the factory in 1947. The 'Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson' has some S/N info but it's not absolutely exhaustive. On the older stuff it's pretty good. AFAIK, there is no good source on the web.
